What does a move-out clean include? (Edmonton)
There's no government-mandated cleaning checklist in Alberta, so 'move-out cleaning' can mean very different things from one company to the next. Here's what a thorough, inspection-aligned move-out clean actually covers, room by room.
Kitchen
The most-flagged room. Inside and outside cabinets, counters, backsplash and sink; the oven interior, racks, door glass and burners; range hood and filters; and floors including edges. Inside the fridge is usually a module you can add before the next occupant moves in.
Bathrooms
Descaling taps and glass, steaming grout, scrubbing tub/shower, toilet inside and behind, vanity, mirror and exhaust fan, then floors. Hard-water scale is the item DIY most often leaves behind.
Bedrooms & living areas
Baseboards, door frames, switch plates and handles, closet shelving and tracks, light fixtures, vents and ceiling fans, spot wall washing for marks, and a full floor pass — vacuum plus hard-floor wash, into the edges and corners.
Windows, tracks & doors
Interior glass where reachable, window and patio-door tracks, and fingerprints off doors and handles. Tracks are a classic 'they actually checked' item.
How the scope maps to your inspection
- ✓We build the clean around the rooms the Alberta inspection report scores.
- ✓We clean dirt, soil and residue — not wear and tear or damage.
- ✓Every covered area is photographed as proof of the condition you left.
- ✓You get a landlord-ready report to forward with your keys.
Is inside the oven included in move-out cleaning?
In a WHITEBOX move-out, yes — oven interior, racks, glass and burners are covered, because a greasy oven is one of the most common landlord deductions.
Does move-out cleaning include walls?
We spot-wash marks, scuffs and handprints (dirt). We don't repair wear and tear like faded paint or nail holes, which a landlord can't deduct for anyway.
