In February 2026 the City issued 42 residential new-construction permits worth about $24.9 million: 19 single-detached, 10 semi-detached and 13 row house permits, including seven PK Developments permits covering 32 row units at 160 Grove Drive West in Copperhaven. Easton, Fenwyck, Tonewood, Prescott, Greenbury, Aspenglen and Deer Park all took new permits that month. In those neighbourhoods the scope is dust and residue removal in a house nobody has lived in. In Harvest Ridge, Hilldowns, Jesperdale and Spruce Ridge, no new houses are going up; the permits are basement developments and solar retrofits, and a resale house there carries real lived-in build-up. The City also issued five secondary suite permits that month, in Fenwyck, Aspenglen, McLaughlin and Copperhaven, so a legal basement suite in a nearly new house is its own separate move-in and its own clean.

We drive out from Edmonton on the Yellowhead or Highway 16A. Access is usually the hard part, not the drive.
